Breakfast & Lunch Procedures
Hello Pat Ham families,
Below is an outline of our breakfast and lunch procedures. These procedures will be in place as long as we are in phase 4 of the state of Michigan plan. If the state moves to phase 5 we will revisit and update you on procedures.
Students will be eating breakfast in the classroom immediately after drop-off. Students will have access to hand washing and sanitizer before they eat meals. Each student will be provided a breakfast and they will take it to their assigned seat to eat. When finished the teachers and aides will assist them with clean up and hand washing. All tables will be sanitized immediately following breakfast.
Lunch will take place in the cafeteria with their class. We will socially distance students and have Plexiglass dividers. Tables and seats will be sanitized between each group of students.
Students will be allowed outside for recess, weather permitting. The playground will be divided into four areas. Classrooms will be assigned a designated area to play each day. We will rotate the areas with the large playground equipment so everyone gets a turn. Playground equipment will be sanitized by custodial staff in accordance with county and state guidelines.
At this time, we will NOT allow lunches or snacks to be dropped off during the school day. If a student forgets a lunch a hot lunch will be provided. We will also have snacks for students if they forget one. This also means no birthday or holiday treats.
