February is Dental Health Awareness Month! We were fortunate to welcome the Van Buren/Cass District Health Department to our elementary buildings and middle school, where they applied dental sealants to students who have enrolled in this program. For additional information on dental health, please visit their website: https://vbcassdhd.org/.
Due to inclement weather and road conditions, athletic games and practices have been canceled. The only practices that are approved are Varsity only. Please stay safe and warm!
We want to give a BIG CHIEFTAINS SHOUT OUT to our 7th Grade Spelling Bee Team for finishing 2nd Place in the team competition!
Congratulations to our 6th Grade Spelling Bee team for taking 4th Place in the team competition. Owen Killarney finished 2nd place in the individual competition and Stella Leighton finished 5th . GREAT JOB DMS CHIEFTAINS!

Parent Teacher Conferences
The location for the 7th/8th grade girls' basketball game vs Upton at 4PM has been changed to Dowagiac Union High School due to maintenance work in the DMS gym. With that being said, wrestling practice for this evening has been canceled. Thank you for your understanding.
We are pleased to announce a Competition Cheerleading Youth Clinic for students in grades K-8, scheduled for next week from Wednesday-Friday. The registration fee is $30, and payment may be made via cash or check. Please ensure payment is submitted at the clinic on Wednesday, February 19th. Participants who register by February 16th will receive a t-shirt.
