DMS has started their 1st Esports Team with the help and generous support of Southwestern Michigan College's ETS (Education Talent Search) Program. Student Athletes will be participating in weekly matches with other middle schools around the country on Thursday's at 5:00 pm (Rocket League) and Friday's at 7:00 pm (Fortnite) now through April. We wanted to make you aware there was a brief power outage that occurred today at approximately 1:30 pm. Fortunately, students were able to complete their day. We have been informed this issue has been resolved and power has been restored. We thank everyone for their help and cooperation during this situation.

8th Graders in Mrs. Stockwell's class were hard at work researching a theme related to Valentine's Day. Students created One Pager digital posters to show their learning on their chosen topics such as chocolate, the history of the holiday, and flowers.

“Each Friday choir students in Mr. Schuur’s class get a chance to perform in Open Mic. Students sign up to sing, dance, act, read poems, and tell jokes to their classmates. It’s a great way for everyone to hear and see their friend’s talents! Here are some pictures of performers from 5th hour choir! Way to go!”

The DMS STEM class had their first hands-on day today! Due to Covid, it looks different, but we are making pens and CO2 cars. We will also be starting up our 3D printers and CNC machines later this week!
