The Technology Department for Dowagiac Union Schools has retired computer equipment for sale. Desktop computers $20-30 dollars, Chromebooks for $20, and notebook computers for $50-100. All units have been tested for operation. There are limited quantities available. We also have computer components for sale. 500GB 2.5 inch hard drives $5 each. 1TB 5.25 inch hard drives $5 each. It couldn't have been a more PERFECT DAY! DMS students celebrated the end of the year with a Outdoor Activities Field Day on Monday, June 5th! Students were able to participate in a variety of events put on by teaching staff as a reward for all of the hard work they did over the course of the year. Everyone enjoyed the festivities which concluded with a cookout lunch provided by our FANTASTIC food service department! FOREVER BLACK & ORANGE!!!

Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Sister Lakes Lions Club - Sunday, July 2 from 8:30am - 1:00pm.

Super job DMS Band Students! Families and community members were treated to a wonderful Spring Concert under the direction of Mr. Johnson. He has been with us for only a couple months and has already made a great impression on the program in the classroom and on stage! Thank you to everyone who was able to come out. It was a real treat. This is just another reason to be "proud to be a CHIEFTAIN!"
We would like to give a BIG CHIEFTAIN THANK YOU to The Lyons Foundation for donating books to all of our students at DMS for the summer! Mayor Don, First Lady Joan and their family have donated over 1500 books to our students over the past 3 years. Their generosity has helped our students stay active readers throughout the summer and has helped to cultivate the continued "love of reading." We so appreciate you!

The theme for this year's event was "Disney Favorites." Everyone in attendance enjoyed the performance and were inspired by the showcase. It was a great evening out for our CHIEFTAIN Family!
The DMS Girls on the Run team finishes strong! All spring, the DMS Girls on the Run team has been prepping to run their 5K which was held on Friday at Southwestern Michigan College with schools from VanBuren, Berrien, and Cass counties.
Heart and Sole, the middle school curriculum for Girls on the Run, offers an inclusive place of belonging, where girls feel supported and inspired to explore their emotions, cultivate empathy, and strengthen their physical and emotional health. DMS’s team had 27 girls this season. 21 girls competed in the 5K. Well done, ladies!!
