As we enter our summer break, listed are some key dates of athletic happenings throughout the summer. We will also provide any new information via our Facebook page: DUHS Athletics. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Dowagiac Union Schools Athletic Department at 782-4470. The athletic office will be closed for summer break from June 23-Aug. 2.
All athletes grades 6-12 must have a current MHSAA sports physical in order to participate in school-sponsored athletics.
June 17
Annual MHSAA Required Sports Physical Day: (see https://5il.co/u0pt for full details)
Where: DUHS Competition Gym area
When: 8am-7pm (last registration at 6:45 pm)
Cost- $15 cash or check only, if paying by check, please make payable to Dowagiac Schools
******Must be accompanied by parent or guardian********
Full health physicals will not be available, only sports physicals will be available.
BASKETBALL CAMPS
June 21-25

When: 1st-4th Grades 9:00-10:30 5th-8th Grades- 11:00-12:30
Cost: $20, if paying by check, please make payable to Dowagiac Girls Basketball

SOCCER CAMP:
All high school boys grades 9-12
When: Starting July 18 every Thursday and Sunday from 7:00-8:30 pm
Location-Dowagiac HS Practice Field
Other important dates:
MHSAA dead week- July 5-12
MHSAA down week- Aug 1-8
First day of practice for DUHS Sports- August 9
First day of practice for DMS- August 23
All athletes must be registered in PlanetHS.com prior to the first practice in order to participate. Those previously registered must update their profile for the 2021-2022 school year.
